BARBADOS – Barbadian Prime minister and CARICOM Chair Mia Mottley is calling for governance reforms within the regional body.

Speaking at CARICOM’s 48th regular meeting, she highlighted urgent issues like climate change, crime, and high living costs.

Mottley also pushed for independent CARICOM funding, proposing new revenue sources.

She stressed that “business as usual” is no longer an option and urged leaders to unite for the Caribbean’s future.
