PARADISE ISLAND – Junior Reporter Shines at Barbie & Ken Cooking Experience.

It was a sweet and exciting start to the Nassau Paradise Island Wine and Food Festival as kids got a chance to step into the kitchen for a special Barbie and Ken Culinary Adventure at Atlantis.

The event, designed to engage young aspiring chefs, brought together creativity, fun, and, of course, delicious treats straight from Barbie’s Recipe Book.

On the scene covering the experience was Denielle Miller, who quickly passed the spotlight to junior reporter Cassidy Barry for a firsthand account of the baking process.

Confident and full of enthusiasm, Cassidy took over the report like a true professional, guiding viewers through each step of making Barbie-inspired cookies.

“First, we put the sugar, flour, eggs, and butter in, then we mixed it up,” Cassidy explained. “After that, we put it in one bowl, wrapped it in plastic, and placed it in the fridge for a little while. When we took it out, we rolled the dough, flattened it out, made cookie shapes, and now it’s in the baker.”

The excitement in the kitchen was evident as the young chefs eagerly waited for their cookies to bake. As the warm aroma of freshly baked treats filled the room, Cassidy returned with an update.

“Now the cookies are out of the oven, it’s time to eat!” she announced, beaming with pride.

Wrapping up the segment in true journalistic fashion, Cassidy and Denielle signed off together.

The Barbie & Ken Cooking Experience was just one of many exciting events lined up for the Nassau Paradise Island Wine and Food Festival, proving that culinary fun isn’t just for adults. With young talents like Cassidy stepping into the limelight, the festival showcased not only world-class flavors but also the next generation of storytellers.
