GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services conducting a recruitment exercise on Grand Bahama, Thursday.

Acting Commissioner of Corrections Doan Cleare revealing that they are now implementing a new correctional model which will require more employees that includes pilots, nurses and members of the clergy.

He says that they are looking to hire 20 people in Grand Bahama and training will begin in New Providence in mid-March.

Corrections Corporal Detrice McCardy says there is still more time for Bahamians to apply as the application process is open until February 14th.

She says they want to give Grand Bahamians an opportunity for employment.
