BDOCS To Launch Grow Your Child Program

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Department of Corrections is introducing a new rehabilitative program called “Grow your child.”

Acting Commissioner for Corrections, Doan Cleare, says the program will allow inmates to spend the day with their children while in prison.

The program is aimed at showing children the ins and outs of prison, in hopes of deterring them from one day ending up there themselves.

Cleare says the plan is to introduce the program in a phased approach.

He says there are too many fathers and sons incarcerated at BDCOS.
