NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Beach Volleyball Team is all set to begin its 2023 season in the North Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation’s (NORCECA) Beach Volleyball league.

This year’s schedule, which begins in the spring, will see the team traveling to a number of locations throughout the Caribbean and Central America including The Dominican Republic, Mexico, The Cayman Islands and Cuba. Tournament events give teams points that would go towards eligibility for a number of prestigious international competitions including the NORCECA Finals, the  Pan Am Games, the Volleyball Championships and even the Olympics.

The 2023 iteration of the national volleyball team, consists mainly of Jon Isaacs, who made his debut in 2018 before a lengthy COVID break, and newcomer Eugene Stuart, Isaacs,is up for the challenge playing this grueling, dynamic game, saying, “[Beach volleyball] requires so much more than the typical specialization you would see in the indoor game. You have to be able to serve, pass, set, and attack consistently on your own.”

The program is actively seeking partners before the 2023 season begins.

Isaacs thinks that there is a lot of potential for sponsors as they continue to grow and develop the national program saying As a new team of two stating “The program provides a great opportunity for companies or individuals to seek a partnership or donate and grow with us on our journey.”

Members of the business community wishing to partner with the program can get in contact by emailing bahamasbeachvolleyball@gmail.com.
