NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At the Anglican synod held just a few weeks ago, Anglican bishop of The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands Laish Boyd said rape is not an act of love.

He said no person should be subject to degrading and violent behavior.

His comments were the first from the head of a major denomination in the country.

Bishop Boyd explained why he felt it was necessary to share his position, making the comments at synod to cause more dialogue to occur.
