NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Staying true to their word, members of the Bahamas Public Service Union gathered on Parliament Street, just feet away from the House of Assembly, to get action on a list of issues they have with government.

Union President Kimsley Ferguson used the opportunity to speak with Opposition leaders, including Free National Movement Leader Michael Pintard and FNM Deputy Leader Shannendon Cartwright.

The BPSU claims the government is using union busting tactics, and union members want salary increases resolved.

Heavy police presence was seen on Parliament Street, near the western entrance to the House of Assembly.
