NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bradley Pratt has been shaking cowbells for over five decades and is the oldest and active member of The Valley Boys.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bradley Pratt has been shaking cowbells for over five decades and is the oldest and active member of The Valley Boys.
Pratt believes that music is the most important aspect of Junkanoo. And, to him, the most important part of the music – otherwise known as the backline – is the cowbell section. It’s because of this that Pratt has been shaking cowbells for The Valley Boys since 1971.
He also spoke fondly about the first set of cowbells he ever received.
Now, Pratt says you just can’t go to Bay and ring cowbells on a whim, you have to be prepared.
