NASSAU , BAHAMAS – Bahamian national team guard Domnick Bridgewater is taking the next step in his professional career, signing with Esporte Clube Pinheiros in Brazil’s top professional basketball league, the NBB.

Bridgewater arrives after a strong campaign with Fos Provence in France’s third division, where he averaged 19.5 points and 4.3 assists over 38 games.

The 26-year-old has been developing in France since 2018, progressing through the Fos Provence system before playing for Avignon-Le Pontet and Champagne Basket, where he averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 assists in the 2024–2025 season.

Bridgewater has also been a key contributor for The Bahamas, averaging 18.2 points and seven assists in the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifiers. His highlights include 25 points and nine assists in a win over Uruguay in August, and 23 points against Jamaica in July.

He’ll join fellow Bahamian and national team veteran David Nesbitt, who also signed with Pinheiros this off-season, adding a Bahamian connection to the Brazilian club’s roster.

Nesbitt has played in eight countries but has spent the bulk of his career in Brazil with four different clubs.

Both Bahamians also recently competed in the Border League, giving them another opportunity to test themselves against high-level competition and show college programmes what they can do.

Additionally, they had an opportunity to showcase their skills alongside the country’s best when they participated in training camp with the senior men’s national team ahead of the latest window of World Cup Qualifiers.

Bahamian FIFA assistant referee Prince Albury continues to make strides on the international football stage, earning an appointment for the first leg of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup semifinals.

Albury was assigned to the matchup between Trinidad and Tobago’s Club Sando FC and Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant Football Academy at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

The appointment marks another opportunity for Albury to represent The Bahamas at the regional level. He is listed by FIFA as a CONCACAF assistant referee, with international status since 2025.

Albury’s appointment adds another international assignment to his officiating journey as he continues to fly the Bahamian flag in CONCACAF competition.
