BRITAIN – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced a national election for July 4.

He chose a day of positive economic news to urge voters to give his conservatives another chance.

Sunak’s announcement coincided with inflation dropping to 2.3%, its lowest in nearly three years, a sign he claims shows his economic plan is working.

Sunak said “now is the moment for britain to choose its future,”

The conservatives, in power for 14 years, have faced economic slumps, scandals, and leadership changes.
