NEW YORK, USA – Grand-Bahama Born shooting guard Buddy Hield has been mired in a slump of late, shooting 37% from the field over the past 10 games, but he busted out of it on Sunday afternoon to help his Philadelphia 76ers beat the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.

The game was an incredibly low-scoring affair, looking reminiscent of the Pat Riley Knicks era with the Sixers coming out on top, 79-73

Hield, who came off the bench because of his aforementioned slump, had a productive night, scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds 3 assists, and a steal. His points came on 6 of 9 shooting and he made 4 of 6 from long range.

The game was a defensive struggle with the Knicks shooting 32% from the field and the Sixers shooting 38%. Things got chippy as Philly’s fireplug forward, Kelly Oubre Jr., got into an altercation with firey Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo. Nevertheless, Oubre led the Sixers with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists and Jalen Brunson had 19 points and 8 rebounds for the Knicks.
