Buddy, Klay, and Eric All Get Wins; Deandre Still Out

U.S.A. – Friday night was an active one for Bahamian NBA players. Everyone who took the floor won. 

Buddy Hield had 12 points and 6 rebounds off the bench to help his Golden State Warriors get a 112-108 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. He struggled from the field going 3-10 and he made only 2 of his 7 threes, but he made up for it by going 4-4 from the free throw line. 

Andrew Wiggins came up big in that game, scoring 30 points to lead the Dubs to the dub. They have amassed the best record in the Western Conference, starting the season off at 10-3. 

Eric Gordon helped his Philadelphia 76ers to a rare 112-98 win against the Brooklyn Nets. He came off the bench to score 5 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes. Although he is known as a knockdown shooter, his biggest contributions came from the defensive side of the floor where pilfered 3 steals and blocked 2 shots.

Sixers rookie Jared McCain showed why he’s the clear-cut frontrunner for Rookie of the Year. He scored 30 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. 
The win was the 3rd of the Sixers’ season. They have 12 losses. 

Klay Thompson had a night he probably wants to forget. He was scoreless on 0-8 shooting. Despite his struggles, his Dallas Mavericks beat the Denver Nuggets 123-120. PJ Washington played big for the Mavs, scoring 22 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to get the win. 

Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic put up another absurd stat line, scoring 33 points, grabbing 17 rebounds, and dishing 10 assists in the loss. The Serbian big man leads the league in rebounds and assists and is 3rd in points. 

Klay will have a chance to bounce back tomorrow night against the Miami Heat.
