BOSTON, U.S.A. – It was a statement win on the road for Buddy Hield and his Golden State Warriors against the defending champions.
Hield finished with 19 points on 6-11, including 4-7 from three point range in the Warriors’ 118-112 win over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in Boston.
Hield connected on a right-wing three-pointer, giving Golden State a seven-point lead with 46.3 seconds left to play.
He made 37 3-pointers are the most ever most by a player in their first eight games with a new team.
The Warriors improved to 7-1 on the season, undefeated on the road at 5-0.
Golden State also snapped Boston’s three-game winning streak and handed the Celtics their first home loss of the season.
Hield is averaging just over 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 52 percent from the field and 51 percent from beyond the arch.
Meanwhile, Kai Jones had one field goal in the Clippers’ 110-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Jones continued his streak of highlight reel plays this season when he finished a half court alley – oop from James Harden.
Baseball

JUCO Basketball
In JUCO basketball, Leano Rolle is already making an impact with Arizona Western College early into his freshman season.
Rolle, a 6’6″ wing, is averaging 14 points and 6.7 rebounds per game through three games for the Matadors.
Tuesday night, he had a team high 21 points in a 99-42 win over Imperial Valley. He shot 9-11 from the field and also added eight rebounds.
In his collegiate debut, Rolle posted a double double – 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 63-59 win over Western College.
He also scored 10 points in an 81-76 loss to Ranger College.
Out of legacy the school of sport sciences in Spring Hill, Texas, Rolle had several interest from D-1 programs, including an official offer with Tulane.
Bahamas Bowl
