U.S.A. – Deandre Ayton had his league leading eighth double double but his Portland Trailblazers supporting cast came up short on the road.
Ayton finished with a season high 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Blazers’ 118-105 loss to the san Antonio Spurs Thursday night at the frost bank center in San Antonio.
It was Ayton’s eighth double double in just nine games.
He’s also shooting the three at a higher clip, a career high 45 percent so far.
He’s made a three in three consecutive games and has five for the season.
To put those numbers into perspective, Ayton made just one three all of last season, and his career high in a single season is seven.
