Our news team spoke to several businesses on the island about how the increase in BPL electricity costs will affect their operations.
A day after the rate hike was announced, we spoke to several business owners and operators who say, they were not surprised by the move.
Some say all signs pointed to an increase given the fact that inflation is impacting all sectors. However, despite not being caught totally off guard, these business owners say now is not the time for a price hike.
And, the question on the minds of consumers: Will this additional cost now be the burden of customers?
Some business owners say it will not, while others say many things need to be considered.
