NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 48-year-old businessman is behind bars after he was accused of raping a woman in his grocery store.

Prosecutors say Rudolph Thurston raped the 23-year-old woman on June 17.
The incident allegedly took place at Bargain City.

Thurston didn’t have to enter a plea the rape charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Shaka Serville.

Bail was denied. Thurston is back in court on August 1 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
