ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS – Power outages have become a routine inconvenience for Eleuthera’s residents, who now prepare for blackouts as part of their daily lives.

Businessman Howard Rickey Mackey, says the struggle to stay open continues.

In a recent interview, Bahamas Power and Light Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, Arnett Ingraham, said not all outages are due to BPL issues.

She explained factors such as traffic accidents, lightning storms, fires, and wildlife interference with bpl lines also contribute to the power disruptions. 

Still the former MP for North Eleuthera is calling for urgent action.
