NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In a continued effort to deepen strategic partnerships
and drive technological advancement in The Bahamas, CEO & President of Cable Bahamas Group Franklyn Butler II, met with U.S. Charge d’Affaires Kim Furnish and Economic Officer Chuck Bennet to explore areas of cooperation.

As the nation’s leading telecommunications provider, Cable Bahamas is focused on elevating the digital culture for Bahamians and enabling more connected lifestyles and experiences throughout our communities.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the U.S. roadmap for technology and discuss how these advancements can help shape the future of digital transformation in The Bahamas.

“As we continue to think about our role in technology, it is essential that we continue to understand the evolving landscape from a U.S. perspective. We cannot be innovative without remaining fully connected and engaged with the rest of the world including the USA where the technological advances are being birthed,” Butler said.

The conversation extended beyond just technology in telecommunications, touching on broader possibilities of collaboration and strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two nations. With the anticipated appointment of a new U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas, Cable Bahamas looks forward to doing their part in furthering partnership in areas of shared interest.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with Charge d’Affaires Kim Furness and her team. It was an important step in developing a strong, continued partnership where we ensure that The Bahamas is not left behind in the global technological landscape,” he said.

Cable Bahamas continues to lead the digital revolution, leveraging global partnerships, investing in next-generation technology, and shaping a future where connectivity fuels progress in The Bahamas.
