“Tonight we are honoring Madame Clicquot’s legacy.”

Commonwealth Brewery’s LVMH Brand Representative, Natori Austin, said the event was designed to honor the woman behind the iconic champagne brand, Madame Clicquot.

Madame Clicquot is the founder of the Veuve Clicquot Champagne House. She took over her late husband’s winery in 1805 and became one of the most influential figures in the champagne industry.

To mark the occasion, the company invited women from a variety of industries to hear from a panel of successful female leaders, including Western Air President and CEO Rexy Rolle.

“We wanted to make sure that we also showcased entrepreneurship. A lot of times in The Bahamas, males in the industry are really capitalizing on what it is to be in business, but tonight we wanted to celebrate women.”

Austin said the evening also served as a platform to showcase female entrepreneurship and empower women to pursue their ambitions.
