UNITED STATES – Measles cases in the U.S. have climbed to 884, with outbreaks reported in at least six states, including Texas, where nearly 650 cases have been confirmed. That’s according to new CDC data released Friday.

Health officials warn the real number may be higher, with some mild cases going unreported.

Experts blame falling vaccination rates, despite Measles being declared eliminated in the U.S. back in 2000.

The CDC urges everyone to ensure they’re up to date on their MMR shots.
