NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Central Bank Governor John Rolle dismissing fears of a possible recession.

It comes after experts in the United States predicted a recession was coming, however, those concerns have since been quashed.

The Central Bank Governor says the cost of vacationing in The Bahamas and electricity in the country plays a major role in the impact of the product.

However, he says tourism gains during the first six months of 2023 were still driven by significant pent-up demand.
