NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce President, James Carey weighed in on the state of the economy of Freeport, this week.

He said Grand Bahamians are looking forward to the sale of the Grand Lucayan Resort and redevelopment of the Grand Bahama International Airport but he admits that while the Grand Lucayan Resort will assist greatly with the economy, it is not the be all, end all.

The President said something that is concerning is that the business community on Grand Bahama has not yet met with the Prime Minister since he has been in office.
