The much anticipated 100m final was run in less than ideal conditions, but Charlton cross the line fourth in 11.19 seconds.

Charlton’s finish is the best by a Florida Gator in the 100m since 2008.

Charlton and Quincy Penn’s 4x100m team did not fear as well after their anchor leg pulled up with around 80 meters to go, resulting in a DNF.

Zion Campbell and his Minnesota Golden Gophers 4x100m relay team finished seventh in the final in 38.88 secs.

Despite an anchor-leg injury forcing Minnesota to pull up with about 20 meters to go, the Gophers put forth its best finish in the event in program history.
