HAITI- Seventeen Colombians accused in the 2021 plot to kill Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, appeared in the court of appeal in Port-Au-Prince on Monday.

However, the hearing was postponed due to the absence of two Haitian suspects, who escaped prison in 2023.

This marks the second court appearance for the Colombians, after years of delays. Including the retirement of the original judge.

The assassination put Haiti into deeper turmoil, as gang violence continues to plague the poor island nation.
