Consultant: 413 People On Bail For Murder
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tackling the issue of bail it’s something that Consultant in The Ministry of National Security, Dr. Carlos Reid says must be addressed.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tackling the issue of bail it’s something that Consultant in The Ministry of National Security, Dr. Carlos Reid says must be addressed.
Reid noting that out of the 128 murders last year – 47 of those killed were on bail for murder.
He says there are currently 653 persons being electronically monitored and of that number 413 have been charged with murder which he says begs the question as to when those individuals will be brought before the courts.
As for a solution?
Reid says police, the Attorney General’s Office and The Ministry of National Security are currently engaged in dialogue.
