NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis is blasting the high cost of medication. Dr. Minnis, who has in the past served as Health Minister, says the added costs of prescriptions coupled with an ineffective health care system is something that needs to be high on the Davis administrations radar.

Have you ever stood in long lines at the hospital, or been given expensive prescriptions for medication?

Well former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis says that’s a harsh reality for many patients.

Both Prime Minister Philp Davis and Health Minister Dr. Michael Darville have been vocal in trying to solve issues in the system.

But with the high cost of living added to the mix, Dr. Minnis says its something that residents should not have to deal with.

Under the Ingraham administration Dr. Minnis served as Health Minister. He says costly meds were an issue then but insists they were addressing it.
