NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A sex offender’s hope for early release has been dashed by the Court of Appeal.

The man, identified as LA, was sentenced to four years for unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.

The conviction stems from a July 3, 2023 incident when he went to the teen’s home, where they had sex.

The 23-year-old convict questioned why prison officials had not given him time off for good behavior.

But, the Court told LA that sex offenders were not entitled to a sentence reduction.
