Cuba Confirms Visit Of U.S. Delegation For Bilateral Talks

CUBA – Cuba’s government confirming that a U.S. delegation recently visited the island for bilateral talks amid growing political and economic tensions between the two countries.

Officials say the meeting took place in Havana in recent days and was described as “respectful” and “professional.”

The U.S. delegation included officials from the state department and met with representatives of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the talks, Cuba insisted on the need to lift the energy restrictions imposed by Washington, while the United States reiterated its demands for economic and political reforms, including the release of political prisoners.
