Cuba Rallies In Support of Venezuela Amid Tensions With U.S.

CUBA – Thousands gathered in Havana Friday in a state-organized rally showing support for Venezuela and condemning what they called a U.S. “flagrant violation.”

Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero led the event amid growing tensions between Washington and Caracas.

It comes after President Donald Trump confirmed he authorized covert C.I.A. operations in Venezuela – a move aimed at pressuring President Nicolás Maduro to step down.
