“We’re happy to have them here, just as much as we’re happy to have you here, and put on one of the most, not just grand, but the biggest concert, historical concert, that this country has ever seen and the world.”

Organized by Secret Production, the event is set to take place on November 7 at the Nassau Cruise Port, featuring reggae icons Anthony B, Sizzla and Capleton as headliners.

The three artists are recognized as integral members of a movement referred to as the Fire Starters.

The movement originated with pioneering artists, including Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear and Bob Marley.

They are known for their powerful lyrical content, which advocates for social transformation and spiritual accountability.

The Culture Shock Concert was first announced in June at Reggae Rewind. Since then, extensive promotional campaigns have been launched across multiple platforms, including prominent billboards throughout New Providence.

Event organizers report that ticket purchases have come from international locations as far away as London.

Local entertainment figure Renee “Empress” Davis says the Bahamas is establishing a venue for what could become a defining moment in musical history.

“It’s been over a decade and a little more that the three of them have had the chance to grace the stage collectively.”

But bringing the three artists together was no easy feat, according to Ian Simms.

He revealed that securing the artists’ commitment required both him and Secret Production founder Chima Johnson to travel to Jamaica to meet with them.

Ian “Culture Shock” Simms

“Where we been? Jamaica, aye? Down to Jamaica, reason with the artists. Everything was sealed, and the artists are excited about coming to The Bahamas.”

Johnson added that skyboxes are sold out and tables are selling quickly, urging the public not to miss the event.

“The name of the game is to be on the scene. Okay, yeah.”
