Day Two of Nationals Bring Out Star Athletes

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The BAAA’s Junior and Senior National finals continued yesterday at old T.A.R. The stars were out in front of their family and friends.

Keyshawn Strachan, our national record holder won the javelin event was happy with his winning performance.

Steven Gardiner felt good after winning the 400m with a time of 44.64. And Devynne Charlton advanced to the 110m hurdles finals.

Daalen Adderley and BJ Murray are both in Seattle for the MLB All-star weekend.

Adderley is playing in the first-ever swingman HBCU classic.

Sponsored by MLB Hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr., the classic aims to showcase 50 top HBCU baseball players on a national stage in front of scouts and executives.

Adderley was one of the best HBCU players on the country for Texas southern.

Murray is playing at in the MLB Futures game which aims to introduce the public to baseball’s future stars by showcasing the best minor league players. Murray is currently playing for the Chicago Cubs’ double-A affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies.
