Deadliest Day of Israeli Strikes in Lebanon Since 2006

LEBANON – The Israeli army launched intensive airstrikes in southern Lebanon today, marking the heaviest bombardment since the onset of hostilities last October.

Fighter jets hit several areas in southwestern and southeastern Lebanon. Lebanon reports nearly 200 people have been killed as Israel ‘deepens’ strikes on Hezbollah sites.

The attack came days after at least 37 people were killed and over 3,000 others injured in two waves of wireless communication device explosions across Lebanon.
