NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Head Coach for Team Bahamas Chris DeMarco said the team has to work on closing out games.

The team played Venezuela in the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifying tournament at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium losing 86-81, despite leading for the majority of the game.

Kai Jones led the team with 20 points, followed by Buddy Hield and Michael Thompson with 19 and 12 points respectively.

The team will leave the country tomorrow to head to Argentina where they are scheduled to play that country’s team on Monday, August 29.
