GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Tucked away in the close-knit community of Smith’s Point, Outriggers Beach Club offers a unique dining experience right on the coastline, where guests can enjoy their meals with their toes in the sand and a view of the ocean.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a warm ocean breeze and an even warmer atmosphere. Inside, there’s a festive vibe, some guests line dancing, others enjoying hearty meals served in cast iron skillets.

One of the restaurant’s elders, Dwight Wilson, says this island gem rose from the ashes nearly 40 years ago.

Dwight Wilson – Elder, Outriggers
“This came about when our church burned down a couple years ago and we started this to raise funds for the church. When we got the funds and rebuilt the church, people never stopped coming.”

And it’s no surprise, thanks to mouth-watering dishes like grilled ribs and chicken, paired with sides like macaroni, potato salad, plantain, peas and rice, and more.

Dwight Wilson – Elder, Outriggers
“The fish always, they love the fish.”

But just how good is it?

Denielle Miller – Demiller@CableBahamas.com
“I’ve literally only taken one bite, and the flavors? When I tell you it’s seasoned, it is seasoned seasoned. I love it!”
