DPM: Gov’t Will Honour Commitments

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper responding to threats of industrial action from the Bahamas Public Services Union. Cooper making it clear that government will honour its commitments.

That statement coming from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper, who was responding to the Bahamas Public Services Union members threats to shut down the airport.

Workers are upset over issues including an outstanding agreement and monies they say have yet to be paid.

Cooper says the government will honor the commitments under the agreement.

Cooper says he is satisfied that the matter will be resolved soon this as the union is giving them the end of the week to meet their demands.
