GRAND BAHAMA , BAHAMAS – The goal of Earth Care Bahamas is to inform students and teachers about issues affecting our environment.

Beyond education, founder and director of Earth Care Bahamas, Gail Woon, said that they want to empower students and teachers to be proactive with their voice.

Woon said this April they will be back at two schools on Grand Bahama, reintroducing their “Conchs in the Classroom” program.

While the organization’s main focus is on the island of Grand Bahama, they also work in Bimini, Abaco, Andros, and New Providence, taking on a number of projects over the years since its formation in 1988.

Membership currently stands at around 2,000.
