UNITED STATES – VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers stayed alive in their playoff series with a 113–97 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 6, extending the matchup to one final game.

Edgecombe stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 5-of-11 from the field and 1-of-8 from three-point range.

He has now made at least one three-pointer in each of the Sixers’ wins, but has gone without a three in each of the losses.

The result also adds weight to a long and one-sided playoff history between these two franchises in elimination games.

Boston has dominated, winning five of six all-time meetings, including iconic matchups in 1965, 1968, 1974, 1981, and 2023, with Philadelphia’s lone Game 7 victory coming in 1982.
