NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A multi-million dollar expansion to local business Eeden Farms is expected to yield major results for the country and help to address food security concerns.

With a projected investment value of $60 million, the privately funded expansion of Eeden farms to Eeden gardens- a revolutionary, commercial indoor hydroponic farm along Gladstone Road- is estimated to deliver up to 2 million pounds of clean and healthy leafy greens and herbs to Nahamian communities.

Prime Minister Philip Davis was a part of a delegation in Ohio over the weekend touring 80 acres – which will serve as a model for Eeden Acres.

Enabled with robotics and artificial intelligence, the farm is expected to produce over 300 times more food than a traditional outdoor farm with 100% renewable energy and 97% less water.

Despite launching just over a year ago, Eeden farms has continued to expand its container farms business, now through its world-class robotics-enabled and hurricane resilient hydroponic farm set to be completed by the end of 2023.
