NASSAU, BAHAMAS – This morning the new energy minister took a tour of the Blue Hills Power Station, to see for herself, the conditions workers are working under.

The new energy minister, JoBeth Coleby-Davis donning a hard hat, hazard vest, and boots for a tour of the Blue Hills Power Station this morning.

And in the midst of a potential Bahamas Electrical Workers Union strike on the horizon she says the tour served more than one purpose.

Some of those safety concerns were visible from the tour, something the minister says she hopes to address soon.

But The Bahamas Electrical Workers Union, already has a strike certificate in hand.

After the minister had walked away, we asked the union president, Kyle Wilson for an update.
