NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Environment Minister Vaughn Miller says he will personally advocate for penalties for Equinor if found that the company breached environmental laws.

His comments come amid concerns that there seems to still be oil residue left from the clean up nearly four years after hurricane dorian.

Miller says a team will be dispatched to do a follow-up as they have received multiple complaints.

He adds residents have also expressed concern about a fence that was erected.

Miller says his ministry is looking into it.
