NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The disabled are an integral part of our community and advocates like Erin Brown continue to shine light on the challenges.

As head of the Office of Disabilities and Compliance at the University of The Bahamas, Brown has learned  a lot, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brown also called for more to be done when it comes to enforcing the Persons With Disabilities Equal Opportunity Act passed in 2014.

Despite the challenges, brown says she’s noticing positive changes in attitudes towards the community.
