NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Disgraced Royal Bahamas Defence Force Petty Officer Darrin Roker has pleaded guilty to his role in a multifaceted cocaine smuggling scheme.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Disgraced Royal Bahamas Defence Force Petty Officer Darrin Roker has pleaded guilty to his role in a multifaceted cocaine smuggling scheme.
Roker, 56, was arrested while on vacation in Florida last November and extradited to New York after a U.S. indictment alleged that corrupt Bahamian law enforcement officers helped traffickers smuggle cocaine and firearms.
Roker changed his plea to guilty during an appearance before New York judge Gregory Woods.
Sentencing has been set for January 21.
