EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Environmental officials estimate in excess of 20,000 gallons of diesel fuel has been recovered from waters near Georgetown, Exuma, after a fuel spill early Wednesday morning.

Our News understands the recovered fuel has been secured in an ISO tank designed to carry liquids in bulk, and will be transported to Clifton Pier.

Crews on the ground continue to pump, treat and remove the fuel from the spill site.
