NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Imagine waking up to the sounds of loud banging, the scent of car fumes, and the sight of rodents running across your yard – that’s the nightmare for some residents in a New Providence community as a result of a mechanic shop in their neighborhood.

Our Joshua Williams tells us more.

Residents living in this Fire Trail Road community fed up over what appears to be an auto body shop in the area and while it appears to be a regular shop, neighbors tell me it brings a number of concerns.

Wanting to remain anonymous, they say the health risks are too great.

And this resident tells me her concerns are heightened based on the danger she’s seen within and around other scrapyards across the country.

The property is surrounded with fencing and black covering surrounding it.

But, from our drone footage, you can see cars piled in the area and even, what appears to be someone working.

Loud music, and banging sounds could be heard.
