Five Charged for Fraud Against Water & Sewerage Corporation

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Five people facing court concerning an alleged scheme to defraud the Water and Sewerage Corporation on Wednesday. 

Charged are Trevor Roberts, a retired superintendent at the corporation, Witchell Wilson, an accounts clerk at the corporation, Wilson’s sister, Adasha Pickering, Romell Rolle and his wife, Vanessa Rolle. 

Roberts is accused of stealing $117,826 from the corporation between June 6, 2019 and June 3, 2020. 

He accused ot forging invoices, falsification of accounts and fraudulent breach of trust and money laundering. Wilson is accused of stealing $30,000 between January 6, 2020 and June 30, 2020 that she had access to by reason of employment. 

Pickering and the Rolles are accused of getting money from the corporation for work they didn’t perform. 

The Rolles, trading as KGM Services, allegedly stole $89,266 and Pickering, trading as PICCS General Maintenance, is accused of stealing $30,000. 

They didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when they stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley. 

They were granted bail and are due to return to court on July 25 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
