NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Sunday’s Cabinet Shuffle saw embattled MP Keith Bell moved from immigration to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Renewal as Jobeth Coleby-Davis was appointed the first ever Minister of Energy and retained transport in her portfolio.

But Free National Movement Chairman Dr. Duane Sands calling these appointments the most disappointing.

Bell has recently been at the center of controversy as minister of immigration over his handling of work permits and citizenship.

But in his national address on Sunday the prime minister touted substantial accomplishments under Bell’s leadership.

In a statement FNM Leader Michael Pintard criticized the announcements as a desperate move and an admission of government’s declining favor with the public.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sands says the prime minister missed an opportunity to address real issues.
