NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Will Education Minister Glenys Hanna-Martin see her exit from the Davis-led Cabinet? That’s the question being posed by the Free National Movement leader who says Hanna-Martin has breached Cabinet protocol.

Members of the Free National Movement calling for the Education Minister to resign from her cabinet-appointed post after expressing her opposition to a $100 million project for Paradise Island.

The Royal Caribbean Project which recently got government approval is a beach club project.

FNM Leader Michael Pintard says if she fails to step down, then it’s on the prime minister to take action however, Prime Minister Philip Davis is of a different view.

In a statement Sunday evening, Davis said Hanna-Martin enjoys his full support, adding that the deal remains under review pending the outcome of the environmental impact assessment.

Davis also referred to it as a draft deal but Pintard isn’t buying it.

In a statement on March 7, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper revealed approval has been granted for the RCI project.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis also supporting of the FNM leader, said the prime minister is proving to be a weak leader.
