NASSAU , BAHAMAS – “Ring The Bell” was the response from Free National Movement Chairman, Dr.Duane Sands, to our Denielle Miller on Friday morning, moments after the prime minister’s national address, announcing that Parliament is now prorogued, fueling speculation that a general election could be called soon.

“Let’s stop playing games”

Free National Movement Chairman and the party’s candidate for Bamboo Town Dr.Duane Sands , reacted to the national address delivered by Prime Minister, Philip Davis on Friday morning.

During the live broadcast, the prime minister declared Parliament to be officially prorogued and urged the public to visit their nearest parliamentary registration center to get registered.

Dr. Sands said that his message to the prime minister is simple, Ring the bell.

“Set the date for the election let the public know this is not funny ok it’s not cute.Just say what day election is going to be and let’s be done with it”

Before our conversation ended, Dr. Sands doubled down by sending this message directly to the Davis administration.

“And then let the Bahamian people decide what their wishes will be and it’s unlikely that they will afford you a second term. “
