NASSAU, BAHAMAS – FNM Fort Charlotte candidate, Travis Robinson, is calling out the Parliamentary Registration Department over what he calls a miscarriage of justice after a number of his poll workers names were left off the advance poll registry.

“ On the 23rd of April, I came here with all of the applications for individuals throughout the Ft. Charlotte constituency to be a part of the advanced poll process. I had applications for all of my poll workers, all of the senior citizens and individuals who are traveling before May 12, general election.

I submitted the applications and returned two days later, only to find that none of the L forms were ready, and even today [they] are still not ready for none of my poll workers.”

Robinson says he submitted applications for poll workers, senior citizens, and residents scheduled to be out of the country on election day.

However, when the advanced poll certified register was released, Robinson claims 9 people from his submissions did not appear on the list.

He also claims his poll workers had still not received the necessary documents as of Tuesday.

“ We deserve justice for those voters who met the requirement did. Yes, we know that a former prime minister in this country lost an election by four votes. That’s right, we are talking about nine votes in the Ft. Charlotte Constituency being left off the parliamentary register.”

Robinson argues that in a tight race, every vote matters, and says the issue should be addressed before any ballots are cast.

Now, Our News reached out to Parliamentary Commissioner Harrison Thompson for comment, but got no response up to news time.

In the meantime, Robinson had this message for election officials.

“ I could only imagine what the general election list will look like, because if we can’t get the small things right, I could imagine what a general election May 12 will look like. We will not allow this PLP government to steal this election. No, sir, not on our watch.”
