NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Free National Movement Leader Michael Pintatd is hitting out at the Davis administration’s decision to hire a U.S. law firm to help with public relations and communications regarding the collapse of FTX.

A few weeks back, the Nassau Guardian reported information from an engagement letter between the government and Brown Rudnick LLP.

Pintard said the opposition was not consulted adding that they had hoped a Bahamian firm was hired.

The letter was addressed to Attorney General Ryan Pinder and dated December 6th, 2022.

The letter noted that payments are due within 30 days of the date of the statement which was December 6th.

It is unclear how much was paid or if any payments have been made. Pintard also questioned if the proper procurement process was engaged to hire the company.
